Books which display the 'Coming Soon' flag have not been published yet. The publication date is shown under each book's details. You can order books that are Coming Soon, and we'll send them to you as soon as they come in. Please note that we do not charge your credit card until we send your books.

How to Buy
When you find an item on Berkelouw Books Website that you'd like to purchase, please click the 'Buy' button to the right-hand side of the item's title, and it will be added to your shopping basket.
Please see below for information about adding more items to your basket, deleting items from your basket, and changing the quantities of items in your basket.
When you're ready to make your purchase, please click the 'Buy these books now' button in your basket, and you will be led through the checkout process. You'll be asked to enter this information:
- Your Details
- Delivery Details (you can have your order sent to someone other than yourself)
- Delivery Method (you can enter special instructions for the delivery if you need to)
- Gift Wrapping (you can choose from various gift-wrap options and enter a gift-card message)
- Payment Method
When you've entered this information, your order details will be displayed and you will be asked to confirm those details before your order is submitted to us. You can change any details at this point if you need to.
You'll be asked to enter an order password if you are a Berkelouw Book Club Member (you choose the password, maximum ten characters) which you can use to check the status of your order later.
When you're ready to place your order, simply click 'Place Your Order' and you will be presented with a page displaying your order number. You'll also receive an email with all your order details listed, and a link that will let you track your order's progress.
Tracking Your New Book Order
When you have placed your order, you will be given an 'Order number' on the 'Order Complete' page. You will also be sent this number in a confirmation email.
Go to the New Books Page and select the 'Order Status' link. You will be prompted to enter your 'Order Number' and you will be given an update on the status of your order.
Check your Order Status now.
Updating Your Basket
Adding More Items
If you have items in your basket and would like to add more, please click the 'Click Here' to search for more books button, and continue shopping. If you find additional items to purchase, simply add them to your basket by clicking 'Buy'.
Deleting an Item & Emptying your Basket
To remove an item from your basket, please tick the remove box at the right-hand side of the item's details in your basket, and then click the 'Update Basket' button.
Changing the Quantity of an Item
If you would like to increase or decrease the number of any item that's in your basket, please change the number in the 'Quantity' box, and click 'Update Basket'.
Shopping Basket Problems?
If you're having trouble adding items to your shopping basket (e.g. you click 'buy' but your basket remains empty), you may need to do one of two things:
- Turn 'cookies' on in your browser
- Click 'refresh' or 'reload' on your browser, to refresh your basket
Please use the 'help' menu in your browser for assistance in activating cookies.
A 'cookie' is a small file which contains a piece of text identifying your browser to our site. The cookie's purpose is to tell us that a previous visitor to berkelouw.com.au has returned.

Please note that for deliveries within Australia, you only pay one delivery fee per order, irrespective of the number of separate deliveries (sometimes not all items in your order are available for shipment at the same time).
International Delivery
Charges for international delivery destinations are available below - please select your delivery country and click 'go' to see a scale of charges for your destination.
If your order weighs more than 1.0kg (2.2lb, roughly equivalent to 1 or 2 paperbacks), we will let you know what your delivery charge will be, and seek your approval before sending your order.
Insurance
All parcels will be securely packaged. Berkelouw Books recommends that insurance is taken out on all orders. We take no responsibility for any mishandling by Australia post or any other postage company.
Please note that some countries may charge customers duties on the 'import' of parcels from time-to-time. As these charges are the responsibility of the customer, please check the customs service in your destination country to see if charges are applicable.
Returns
All rare and out of print books are sold as complete and in good condition unless otherwise described. Any item found to be incomplete or defective when not so described may be returned within seven days and payment refunded.
We will accept returns and offer credit or exchange up to 7 days after you receive your order. Books returned to us for credit or exchange must be in their original condition. Books including CD ROMs or floppy disks cannot be returned if the disks' seals have been broken.
Full refunds including delivery costs will only be refunded if the items you are returning are not the books you ordered; that is, if you received the books as a result of our error.

Your Berkelouw Books Website order number must be included in the parcel. Your order number is included in all email correspondence, as well as on the package of your original parcel.
Please note your name, telephone number and address on a note with the item(s) you are returning.

Cancelling Your Order
If necessary, you may cancel all or part of your order, provided you contact us before you receive the email notification that your order has been dispatched.

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars and include the 10% G.S.T. (Goods and Services Tax).
